As financial health and wellbeing continue to be a hot topic within the employee benefits arena, the MyEva team have welcomed Daniel Gillett and Zoe Semmens as Business Development Director, and Business Development Manager, respectively.
Reporting to Wealth Wizards’ Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Kiddell, the new hires bring a burst of energy to MyEva as we look to continue our niche in the employee benefits market as the only digital financial adviser in the UK market for consumers.
Kiddell said, “I’m excited to bring Daniel and Zoe into the MyEva fold. With the increase to cost of living, financial strife is a worry for more and more people in the UK, and I can’t wait to get the new team out on the road meeting clients (virtually and in-person) to reach more organisations whose employees are in need of the support and guidance MyEva can offer with regards to their financial worries and concerns.”
The new team all have a background in employee benefits, and recognise that financial wellbeing is high on the agenda for many HR and Reward departments, forming part of a holistic wellbeing strategy. Gillett said, “MyEva delivers a positive impact for individuals and in the current economic climate, our financial wellbeing is more important than ever.
The majority of us believe that we do not have access to or can afford financial advice and I am eager to help corporate clients provide their employees a financial wellbeing solution that closes this advice gap. Employers recognise concerns about money have a negative effect on employees physical and mental health, no matter what their salary level, leading to increased absenteeism and presenteeism, reduced productivity and a significant financial impact on a business as a whole.”
Semmens added, “In the UK talking about money is relatively taboo, but it is something that affects us all – especially with the cost of living increasing. If people aren’t comfortable talking to their friends and family, they may not know where to turn. Financial advice, from my perspective, has always been reserved for people with high incomes, trust funds or nearing retirement – something many of us feel we can’t afford or justify. You can imagine my excitement when I learnt about MyEva, giving accessibility and somewhere to explore advice, for people in all different financial situations.”
